GB/T 25198-2023 "Pressure Vessel Head" was issued by the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration (National Standardization Administration) on August 6, 2023 and will be implemented on March 1, 2024. This standard supersedesGB/T 25198-2010It has been published by China Standard Press.

Pressure vessel head is a key component of pressure vessel, which has the characteristics of sealing and safety. With the development of technology and the improvement of safety requirements for pressure vessels, some provisions in GB/T 25198-2010 have been unable to meet the needs of most enterprises, and the market is in urgent need of normative documents that can adapt to the current development needs. GB/T 25198-2023The release of the company will help enterprises to improve production technology, ensure product quality and safety, improve the level of such products, and provide a more perfect and reliable technical basis for market supervision and testing.

This standard specifies the type, type parameters and manufacturing, inspection and acceptance requirements of steel, non-ferrous metals (aluminum and aluminum alloy, copper and copper alloy, titanium and titanium alloy, nickel and nickel alloy, zirconium and zirconium alloy) and pressure vessel heads made of composite plates,It is suitable for the manufacture, inspection and acceptance of hemispherical, oval, dish, spherical crown, flat bottom and conical heads for pressure vessels with blank for whole plate or plate, stamping, spinning, rolling and split forming, and heads for normal pressure vessels and other pressure equipment can also be carried out with reference to this standard.

Compared with GB/T 25198-2010, except for structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

-Terms and definitions are added;

-Change the nominal diameter DN of the head to the head diameterD(Inner or outer diameter of head);

-The shape and parameters of oval head and dished head based on outer diameter are changed;

-The head type parameters are changed, the conical head type code is changed, and the conical head type without straight edge is added;

-The head mark is changed;

-Requirements for risk assessment and control, supervision and inspection of manufacturing environment and head manufacturing are added;

-The relevant contents of the original blank preparation are changed, the material content is adjusted to the manufacturing, inspection and acceptance chapters, and the material division and marking clauses are added;

-The requirements for pressure vessel heads made of zirconium materials are added;

-The requirements for composite plate materials are added, the requirements for performance assurance after processing and forming are added and defined, and the requirements for corrosion resistance inspection are changed;

-The requirements for grinding and repair welding are changed;

-The requirements for groove processing and surface are changed;

-The requirements for layout of splicing plates and splicing welds are changed;

-The provisions for the surface color of titanium and titanium alloy head welds and heat-affected zones are changed, and the provisions for the surface color of zirconium head welds and heat-affected zones are added;

-The content of the original head forming is changed and forming inspection is added;

-The heating method and general requirements are changed, the requirements for process heating, the provisions for the determination of effective heating zone and the requirements for heat treatment measurement records are added, and the requirements for heating medium are adjusted;

-Requirements for heating temperature control of zirconium and zirconium composite plates are added;

-The recommend temperature for warm forming of austenitic stainless steel head is added;

-The control requirement that the inner circle circumference or inner circle diameter of the head made of composite plate shall be taken as the butt joint reference is added;

-The tolerance requirements for diameter range, outer circumference and inner circle diameter are changed;

-The requirements for shape and dimension tolerance of head are changed, and other measurement methods are added;

-Added for design temperature lower－Requirements for control and measurement of ferrite content in austenitic stainless steel heads treated at 40 ℃ and strain hardening;

-Requirements for heat treatment documents and automatic recording of heat treatment temperature are added;

-The value of deformation rate for cold forming of elliptical, dished and conical heads made of aluminum-magnesium alloy, aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy, titanium and titanium alloy and brass (except H96) is changed;

-The influence of the deformation rate of the open plate on the head manufacturing shall be considered added;

-The requirements for product test pieces/heat-treated test pieces of base metal are added;

-NDT methods are added and relevant requirements are changed;

-The requirements of the factory data are changed;

-Product logo added.
