In order to realize the construction of a high-skilled talent team and cultivate a group of skilled talents with advanced vocational skills, Yixing City responded to the "Wuxi Craftsman" vocational skills competition and held the 2024 Welder Vocational Skills Competition.

The competition was organized by the Yixing Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Yixing Safety Training Center. It was formulated based on the national vocational skill standard advanced (three-level) technical standard, and was assessed for theoretical knowledge and practical operation.
